The De-Cluttered Brain By The Book

Dr. W.H. Penewit

The De-Cluttered Brain By The BookIf we are going to learn about the De-Cluttered Brain By The Book, we are going to have to go to The Bible.

We learned in the last session that a cluttered brain causes anxiety that leads to depression,

and that learning how to get rid of that clutter in the brain is the first step.

We also learned that we can make decisions from our flesh, or our Spirit man.

Making decisions from the flesh won’t work…Paul said in Romans 7:18

” 18For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.”

That’s right…your flesh will never give you the right decision because all it wants is to “feed itself“

Your Spirit man is fed with The Word of God so it’s always going to get its lead from The Bible.

Learning how to get rid of with De-cluttered thoughts

Lets learn how to use our Spirit man to make decisions.

When there is a decision to be made there is always a “small voice” in your head that is telling you what decision to make.

You may want to do something for fleshly but “you know better”. Usually you ignore the voice and go ahead with what you “want” to do.

Say to yourself “I CHOOSE TO FOLLOW MY SPIRIT MAN IN MAKING THIS DECISION.

I WON’T FOLLOW MY FLESH OR WHAT I WANT TO DO

Next we name (on paper is necessary) all the daily thoughts that seem to get in our way throughout the day.

We take every cluttered thought and throw it away, then speak to our brain and tell it what we will think about that day.

Here is a list (from The Bible)

Philippians 4:8

  1. Whatever is true
  2. Whatever is honorable
  3. Whatever is right
  4. Whatever is pure
  5. whatever is lovely
  6. whatever is of good report
  7. if there is any excellence
  8. if anything worthy of praise
  9. Dwell on these things

That takes care of most of the thoughts, so what about the daily to-do list that you are always thinking about?

Put it on your phones calendar or reminder feature and let it remind you whats coming up next!

Try these simple things…THEY WORK
