Fulfilled Wife
Fulfilled Wife
Fulfilled Wife…Two words that according to most married couples don’t go together all that often. Why does it have to be so difficult? You remember when you first got married how you loved and cherished your husband.
You promised God that your marriage was going to be the best marriage that was ever seen on the planet earth.
If you’ve read our last blog you’ve read about finding a fulfilled marriage, and now we will discuss a Fulfilled Wife (1)
Reality sets in
After a couple of years or so you begin to realize that things are not the way you had planned. The man that you promised God that you promised to love and honor in obey all the days of your life isn’t that easy.
So you begin to think that possibly you made a mistake or at least that you are in a marriage that would not be as fulfilling as you thought.
Most often the wife begins to look for fulfillment and other things. It could be cooking or crafting, it could be just about anything. God is the one thing that the wife must begin seeking from the day she begins dating her husband and father rest of her married life.
God sets the boundaries for the wife
So God sets the boundaries for the wife, but all too often she thinks that that is a negative, but when God created Adam he knew all along what Adam needed, what Adam craved deep in his heart. Lets look in the book of genesis and see just what I’m talking about!
The Book of Genesis and a Fulfilled Wife
Genesis 2:18 “Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” 19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name. 20 The man gave names to all the cattle, and to the birds of the sky, and to every beast of the field, but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him.”
Man was not complete
God made man and put him in the garden but man was not complete… And god saw that Adam was not complete! So God said
“ it is not good for man to be alone“
then what did God say? “
“I will make a helper suitable for him“
We could go deeper into this, but what I want you to see in genesis chapter two is that God knew that Adam was not being fulfilled. and so God made a helper suitable for him.
God realized that Adam desperately needed something if this thing was going to work!
So God put Adam into a deep sleep and took a rib out of the Adams side and fashioned it into a woman. When Adam saw the woman what did he say?
“This is now bone of my bones,
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.”
Adam looked it all this in realized that the woman was exactly what he craved. Adam could be whole, Adam could be complete!
The Wife COMPLETES the man
So God made the woman to be a Fulfilled Wife and to complete the man in the garden of Eden.
The woman was never meant to be subservient to the man she was created equal to the man. The woman has qualities that the man does not have but desperately needs.
The man cannot function without the woman and a woman completes the man so she needs the man just as much as the man needs her.
As a wife you are more important than you’ll ever imagine!
If you are a wife and you feel helpless, you feel like you are more trouble than you are worth…take courage!
The newlywed husband and wife must learn that each one of them plays a part and that they desperately need the other.
