Faith affects marriage

Faith affects marriageFaith affects marriage

It can be easy to assume that Faith affects marriage, but just what kind of faith are we talking about?

We know that there is faith in God and His Word…but did you know

that we can have faith in things too?

We can have faith in failure which is an easy trap to fall into if we are not careful.

So what about faith in marriage…How does that work?

Having faith in the right things can strengthen a marriage because faith starts with two people.

When we apply God’s Word in a marriage it will always start with love, and love is the bond that brings two people together

Faith affects Temperament

Let’s look at Temperament and see how faith can apply to it.

We know that there are 5 temperaments and many “blends” as well, so knowing your temperament is vital.

The Melancholy tends to have low self-esteem which CAN affect them their entire lives, so having

faith in God and his acceptance of them is an extremely important part of their daily life.

A Melancholy can learn to defeat this “low self-esteem” if they are taught how to be diligent.

“applying all diligence in your faith”

Second Peter 1:5a is a great place to start.

“5 For this very reason, applying your diligence [to the divine promises, make every effort] in [exercising] your faith“

verse 4a of this very chapter says that; “For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent

promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature“

Being diligent in our faith can bring about God’s power in our marriage IF we stay diligent.

Searching out what The Word has to say about your problems will show you how to win every time…

BUT diligence in searching God’s Word is an absolute must!

During the next 7 articles we will learn how the various temperaments need diligence in their lives.
