Finding Godly wisdom in your marriage Part 2
If you have read part 1 of my blog finding Godly wisdom in your marriage it may have left you with more questions than you have answers. This blog is intended to point you in the right direction, to help you seek and find these answers.
You must seek for Godly wisdom
The first thing that I would like you to realize is that you must seek for knowledge, meaning you have to go out and look for it. All too often we think that Godly wisdom will come knocking on our door we can open up our big bag and it will Jump Right In, but that is not the way it works. Knowledge is one thing, going to school and getting an education is a good way to get it. But what about wisdom? And why is it so different than knowledge?
The only way to find Godly wisdom is to seek for it. Did you know that God has his wisdom hidden for his children? And only his children can find it! All of the good things that God has for us must be sought after and found…and it’s in The Bible
If you are a man looking for a wife I can point you in the right direction. Proverbs 18 verse 22 says (wives can find a good man too)
“he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord“.
Did you get that? It doesn’t say he whose wife finds him finds a good thing, what it says is he must go out and seek his wife.
In Proverbs 31 verse 10 he says:
“an excellent wife who can find for her worth is far above jewels“.
Do you know why diamonds rubies Sapphires and emeralds are so expensive? It is because of the work and effort a man has to go through to find it.
Finding a wife is just an example of the wisdom that I am talking about and that man must seek out that wisdom. So where do we start?
In the book of Haggai chapter 1 verse 7 it reads::
“thus says the Lord of hosts consider your ways“.

The first thing we must do is take a mental emotional inventory of our life and what we are doing. Are we living a life contrary to what God wants is to? And how do we know if we are? We start by asking God and seeking Godly wisdom to correct us and show us where we need to improve. I realize this isn’t going to be an easy step but it is vital if you are going to find wisdom for your marriage or your
Quite often I ask this of the Lord and he shows me where I need to correct. Sometimes it’s a life-changing event and other times it’s just smaller things that I have to do. But I listen and obey and buy that I grow.
Lets look at 1st Corinthians 2 verses 10 to 13:
“
“10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.
You will never find the answers that you seek with man’s knowledge, and reading man’s books. You will only find it by seeking it out in God’s word. This will involve changing lifestyles. You may have to cut out your bowling league for a while, or your online gaming, or watching so much TV at night.
Sitting in your comfortable chair looking through the scriptures and asking God to reveal these answers to you in his spirit may not be easy to start, but the results will be out of this world! This is where you find success for what you do and happy relationships.
The devil will throw curve balls at you all day long where your marriage is concerned but do you realize that God has answers for you. You may be asking the question my husband is doing this or that or my wife is always doing this or that what do I do? The answers are easier than you may think. Now I will tell you that you may have to swallow hard or bite your tongue a few times but once you understand exactly why God wants you to do what he is suggesting in his word, healing is right around the corner!
