Deeper than your pain
Deeper than your pain…If you’ve ever been to counseling…pain was the reason for it.
It may have been emotional pain or physical pain, but pain will motivate people to change.
There are those therapists that say that pain can be a positive force in ones life but we disagree!
Pain can lead you to make decisions that you wouldn’t normally make and its rarely a positive choice.
But God is deeper than your pain.
Understanding pain
Pain wasn’t supposed to be on Earth to begin with…I mean that God didn’t plan on pain.
It was man’s fall that brought pain into this world that we live in.
It’s not just physical pain that devastates lives…the devil works best with EMOTIONAL PAIN in people.
Remember this one thing…Emotional pain is the number one cause of physical pain.
Doctors say that emotional pain is the number one cause of disease and sickness in people.
You may think that you don’t have a choice when emotional pain or sickness attacks you…but you do.
Deeper than your pain, God has a plan for you
Since we know that it was never Gods plan for you to bow to physical or emotional pain…
he developed a plan that always works when applied correctly.
Lets look at one of these plans and see where they can take you.
Isaiah 53:4 says:
4 Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment],
Did you notice that he says that Jesus carried our sorrows AND pains of punishment?
That means that Jesus covered our physical and emotional pains. So if you are hurting emotionally, God has got you covered.
How does Temperament fit into this?
Decide that you are going to seek God’s healing once-and-for-all and don’t give up!
Each temperament will approach this differently so if you have a Temperament Profile then you know how to approach healing.
A Melancholy may seek understanding healing from a different point of view than a Sanguine.
It’s the same healing…but God will speak to you exactly how he created you …UNIQUE!
So physical or emotional pain in life or marriage problems…if you know how God wove you to be, your approach to healing will be spot on!
