You can’t see the forest for the trees
Have you ever heard the old saying “you can’t see the forest for the trees”?
You cant see the forest
You probably have but if you haven’t let me explain it to you.
A person is in the middle of a large forest looking at all the trees and foliage surrounding them.
But because of all the trees surrounding them they fail to realize that it is a very large forest that they are in.
They fail to see the bigger picture
As a doctor in the word of faith based mental health field I see people every day that do not realize their potential.
Why is this? Because they cannot see the forest for the trees!
The evil one has a way of showing you all the hopeless situations that you are and without being able to see any way out of them.
What am I talking about?
- A failing marriage or relationship
- A dead end job
- Living a life where you are never validated
- Living a loveless life
- Never able to climb out of the pit a despair that you seem to be living in your entire life.
I could go on and on but I think you get the picture.
When a patient comes in to my office I can almost immediately see the potential and the gifts that they have.
