Year 2021…Marriage Under Siege Part 1

The “traditional marriage in under siege in today’s society.

If we study what has been happening, we will see that satan has plans to change marriage into his own twisted image.

His attempt has reached new levels on this planet, but the effect can be stopped.

The attack of traditional marriage is no match for the oneness that God designed into HIS plan for marital bliss.

 

Marriage in 2021…Oneness

If you study marriage and how God designed it then you know that marriage is a powerful oneness.

Oneness is how God operates his creation…its how he operates his family.

Let us look at Matthew 18:19

“¹⁹ “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask,

it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.

²⁰ For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”

God needs his people to be one…where there are 2 or more people that are together, they can get things done easier.

 

Marriage oneness…the process

One hand washes the other…in other words, if you are going to wash your hands it takes both hands to wash them.

Trying to wash your hands while using only one hand is impossible.

A successful marriage without oneness is equally impossible.

Paul states in Ephesians chapter 5 beginning in verse 22.

“²² Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord.” 

“²⁴ But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.”

And again, in verse 25

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,

²⁶ so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,

²⁷ that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory,

having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.

²⁸ So husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.

As I said…oneness takes 2 people.

The wife cannot be subject to her husband if her husband does not give her what she needs to be subject to him. And

The husband cannot be the high priest of the marriage without the wife giving him the things that he needs to be the high priest.

The wife is “the balance” of the marriage so-to-speak.

She brings peace to her husband’s body and soul…which will assist him in bring both of you before the throne as “one.”

 

The wife cannot subject to her husband without him giving her the “seed” that she needs to grow into the woman that she needs to be.

Let us look at this another way. The man plants his seed into a woman and 9 months later a baby is born. Pay attention to this concept here because it is not a mere fleshly thing.

Just as the man plants his seed into her to create a baby…he plants the seed of The Word of God into her as well…

this is why Paul pens in Ephesians chapter 5 verse ²⁶ so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,

Question…Husbands, how many times over the last week have you read The Bible to your wife and prayed over her?

How many times have you shown your wife to live and react in certain situations with by showing her how it is done?

She needs to “follow your lead” so that the oneness that we are speaking about can take place.

Can she have a baby without your seed? Of course not!

Can a man make a baby without his wife? NOPE!

So, we can see how powerful but delicate this oneness can be.

Without both husband and wife doing their part on the oneness the power and Godly choreography cannot happen. AS I said…one hand washing the other.
